Bruce H. Bolinger CEO
Bruce Bolinger
graduated Art Center College of Design in
Pasadena, CA and moved east in 1968 to work for
Brady Publishing Company, a textbook publisher.
In 1976 Bruce and his mate, Valerie, began a
freelance commercial art studio that produced
thousands of images that graced textbooks,
presentations, greeting cards and even his own
comix series. The direction of art produced
turned toward cartoons and humorous
illustrations and in 1988 Bruce was hired by
the great, now late, Don Martin, cartoonist of
Mad Magazine fame. Bruce inked Don's final
artworks when Don switched from Mad to Cracked
Magazine in 1987. Bruce had the privilege of
working with Don for three years, then went on
to contribute cartoons to Cracked magazine for
a decade. Today Bruce still freelances fulfilling commissions,
contributing bi-weekly cartoons to Artizans.com and
Cartoonstock.com, producing
artwork for the commercial market and selling originals on Ebay, the
auction site. He's still having a good time...
Valerie Bolinger CEO Supervisor
Valerie is Bruce's
full-time partner in Freehold Studio and the
projects that find their way to the studio
door. She has handled the day-to-day business
end of the effort, from paperwork and
scheduling to promotion. Without her
continuing, tireless effort the Studio would
not exist. Twice a day she still
stops by to throw scraps into Bruce's cage.
